How to Prevent Your Brain from Getting Smaller with Age

We all want to keep as much of our brain as we age.  Good News. There does seem to be something you can do for a shrinking brain. Thanks to Dr. Painter for the following information:

The researchers followed 107 community-dwelling volunteers, aged from 61 to 87 years old,  over a 5-year period. Their clinical findings were based on testing their blood vitamin levels, and looking at pre- and post-MRIs exams of the brain of all participants.

The study revealed those participants who had the lowest levels of B vitamins in their blood also experienced the most brain atrophy (brain shrinkage) and were also the most likely to develop  cognitive impairments.  [1]

This is another great reason for taking a well designed B complex like Shaklee’s.

Shaklee B vitamins are designed to be absorbed  by your digestive systems.  So few manufacturers ever do absorption studies, and the recent Landmark Study [2], and the NHANES database they used for comparison, both demonstrated that B vitamin levels were very low, even in the group who took other supplements.

Only the group taking Shaklee’s B Complex maintained high blood levels. They were also the only group to have normal readings in blood tests normally used to diagnose disease, such as homocystine  levels, or C Reactive Protein.

Be Smart,

Caroline
